This portable mortar is akin to that of the larger lusong which are made from basalt and limestone.

 

Unfinished carvings

Aside from the last two pictures of the replicated Sinahi artifact, I carved these unfinished work more than five years ago. It's nearing its completion now. Some of the spheres are made with igneous and metamorphic rock, stalactite, and of course hima.
