
This is a spondylus shell carved in the shape of a Latte Stone. Latte Stones were carved from limestone or basalt and were used as a foundation for the Ancient Chamorro House. Additionally, Latte Stones are monolithic which is composed of two separate pieces. The base is called "Haligi"; the capstone is called "Tasa". Above the Latte Stone earring are spondylus beads fashioned into a bracelet.
