Higam Alutong

The above picture illustrates the Ancient Chamorro tool called "HIGAM ALUTONG" also known as adze. This particular adze has an original volcanic tip carved by an Ancient Chamorro. I carved the handle of the adze from mahagony and bound it with traditional coconut fiber rope. Additionally, you will notice that this particular piece has an orange spondylus inlay. In the near future, I will add more of the inlay to represent all the islands in the Chamorro archipelago also known as the Mariana Islands (CNMI).
Thank you for allowing me to share this piece of information. If, for some reason, you find the above information to be inaccurate, do not hesitate to add to it.
